I'm not sure how others are using it, but I placed all my pads in alphabetical order with the markers besides the pads. I am going to get alittle round price stickers, color them with the markers and then either place the stickers on the end of the markers or on the wood right beside the pads. I also have arranged my reinkers in alphabetical order. Of course, I didn't have all the reinker colors, so that was a 'priority' to order right away. LOL Thank you so much for creating this for us. I know it had to be an extra expense for you to use the high grade materials that you did instead of opting for the cheapest route! i have seen comparable stamp pad holders and they have been used with the most awful peices of wood, screws put in crooked, rough edges. yes, they all do the trick and hold the stamp pads, but some are so much better quality than others! yours is the best i have seen yet! it is worth every penny that i spent and i would refer anyone to you if they want a NICE stamp pad holder! it speaks for itself. my cousin ordered a different one that is out on the internet now for a little cheaper, she is so disappointed with it. not because of the set up, but of the quality it was, or should i say "wasn't". wood was chipped, saw dust and dirt all aver it when she got it, the shelves to hold the pads were bowed and different widths, it was terrible. she can't even sell it because of how shoddy it was put together. you can't see these flaws when you look at a picture on the internet. now she's stuck with it! she's wishing she'd paid the little extra and got one like mine! oh well, enough babbling, i just wanted to let you know, (again and again!) how extremely thrilled i am with my pad holder! thanks you so very much! take care! shannon blackburn indianapolis, indiana gypsi@mindspring.com Sue, I love your Stampnthing!!! I store my pads, upside down of course, by color, and then can pull out several greens or blues easily. Since I work in my spare bedroom, and space is always a premium, I store it on top of the highboy and even though I'm short I can reach everything, and see the upside down stamp pad covers. Now I just wish you'd invent something for the stamps themselves. I'm thinking some kind of easily installed ledges for the wall of a room. Not too expensive, various widths, to hold and display stamps. It is such a pain to always be rummaging though bins. Let me know when you do, I'll be the first customer. I don't have my pens in there, instead I've arranged everything so I can get reinkers in for all the pads I have on the "thing". I'm s CTMH (r) consultant and it works great for me! There are only two drawbacks I can see 1-is it's so bulky. I have had mine for several years now and what a blessing. Every stamper knows that the only draw back to stamping is keeping all the multitude of wonderful accessories organized. With your fabulous creations - it is almost impossible to loose a stamp pad or wheel, as they are at-your-finger-tip convenient, and so easy to put back in place. The towers are extremely sturdy in their wood construction and the turn tables glide with ease. Prior to receiving mine, I spent hours hunting for specific colored pads - now they all have a home. Upon receipt, I spent an hour making sticker lables with all the names of my ink pads. I then put them all in the order that they are listed in the catalog. How easy. Thank you so much for thinking up these terrific inventions. I spent several years looking for something to put my pads in and purchased numerousd things that just did not do it for me. Who knew that a visionary like you would come up with an organizer to hold my pads, and also the markers and reinkers. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You have saved my sanity on more than one occasion. I have recently downsized my stamping supplies, but would never give up my Stampin Things or Wheels and Things. Again - many thanks. I threatened that if Santa didn't bring it, I'd be purchasing them myself!! I LOVE Stampin' Things! Plenty of room up top for odds and ends - hold more than enough pads and I LOVE that is has room for markers and refill inks! It's large enough that three or four of us can sit around my LARGE (pool table size) table and still have easy access to all the colors of pads, markers, etc. I've had many compliments on it and many fans wanting to know where they can get theirs! Wheels and Things is wonderful too. It's nice to know where everything is. It's organized well, the only disadvantage is that there isn't enough room to hold and organize all of my ink cartridges. I wish there was a way to have a spot for each color, or more room to store them at the bottom. It seems to me that the bottom row of wheels is too close to the cartridge shelf. My husband bought both the Wheels n' Things and the Stampin' Thing for me for my birthday this past winter. Truthfully, I am not sure how I got by without them. No more searching for the right color ink pad, marker, OR matching marker....they are all right there at my fingertips and sooooo easy to find!! And the Wheels n' Things is just as great: no more shoving the wheels in a drawer and rummaging through to find the right one. Now they are all out and visible. Again, each of my wheels is easy to find and has freed up drawer space for other uses. My only complaint (just a small one) is that I wish there was more room for the cartridges around the bottom! Without a doubt, both of these items have organized my stamping supplies. I received each item separately and they were packaged very well. It was obvious that a lot of care went into the making and packaging of each item. And dealing with Sue was so easy. She was just so nice! (Wish everyone was as easy to deal with as she was!!) I have had them only about a month, but I can already tell you that everyone who has seen them in my stamping room wants to know how to get one! I have all three of them next to each other within shifting distance of my desk chair. I love the fact that they all rotate, allowing me to find what I am looking for quickly. Also I love that Stampin things has my ink pad, marker and refill all in one central location. Ribbons and things is just awesome because the ribbon spoll rests upon two rods and isnt actually strung through anything...this allows me to be able to take the spool out if I want to easily, and it also allows for ribbons of various sizes to be placed in the same place. I love all three of them and would recommend them to anyone who has their stamping stuff crammed into a drawer like I did!
